VALLE VISTA - A motorcycle accident Monday claimed the life of a woman biker.

About 11:42 a.m., two units and four personnel from the Valle Vista Fire Department responded to Highway 66 at Ironwood Drive, Battalion Chief Jerry Lucero said.

"When the call came in, it was a vehicle vs. motorcycle," Lucero said. "But when we got there, it didn't look like it, so I'm not sure what happened."

The woman was not wearing a helmet. She was pronounced dead at the scene of massive trauma.
